Done in my position as Volunteer Creative Director for the Women’s College Alliance. WCA is an organization working hard to receive non-profit status. We work with women’s colleges across the country to provide career education, support, and opportunities for Alumnae.

Objective: Create a welcoming and professional brand identity that will support the organization in its path toward non-profit status and beyond. Use the new brand identity to design a website, pitch deck, and social media templates.

Results: Very well received by the board. Full results still to be seen as this is a young organization. However, the founder has praised the deliverables time and time again, confident that the brand identity helps us appear professional, put-together, and welcoming to potential partner colleges and members.

My Notes: This project came to me with little to no direction. During my research stage, I confirmed core values and goals of the organization with the founder and proceeded to research similar organizations and other brands that hold similar values. I put together a brainstorm word cloud and mood board before I started conceptualizing.

There was another designer I was working loosely alongside who also pitched a brand identity. We decided to each pitch our strongest concept so that the board wouldn’t have too many options to choose from. Ultimately, my designs were chosen, but the board loved the 3-star icon in her logo so we decided to incorporate the 3 stars as a favicon and into patterns and other parts of the brand identity.
