Hands
Hands are one of the most expressive parts of the body. We communicate with them, experience the world through them with touch, and they can represent both the individual and the masses. Hands are a symbol of agency, of community, and creativity. Of power, tenderness, and humanity. They are the perfect vessel to explore nuanced emotions.
Over the past several years, I have used hands in my work to explore feelings of love, growth, anxiety, frustration, hope, and community.
